Cruiser 67 and Floater 67 were developed to help avoid frustration for the beginning builder who has no experience. Teachers with no modeling experience will love them too for the easy instructions. There have never been kits like them!  Each kit has plans and materials to build two complete models. The kits include:

 

·         Complete step-by-step instructions for building and flying

·         Extensive weight charts to help get parts to the right weight 

·         Hand-selected weight-graded balsa to ensure a strong, minimum-weight model

·         Laser-cut ribs

·         Ultrafilm plastic covering – 1/5 the weight of tissue and it won’t shrink

·         Tan Super Sport rubber in several sizes to optimize flight time (Cruiser 67)

 

Spare Propellers also are available for experimentation. These are Ikara propellers, specially designed for the Wright Stuff events.

 

Miscellaneous Materials

 

SuperUltrafilm covering   0.9 micron thick, weighs .0027 oz./100 sq. in. 12.4 in. x 15 ft. roll. Instructions for applying included.

 

Ultrafilm covering  1.5 micron thick, weighs .005 oz./100 sq. in. 12.4 in. x 10 ft. roll. The right covering for Pennyplanes. Instructions for applying included.

 

Condenser paper  half the weight of  Japanese tissue at .014 oz./100 sq. in. 12.5 in x 10 ft. roll. For Lil’ and Big Dippers and light scale models.

 

Boron fibers  0.003 in. and 0.004 available. 100 pieces, 24 in. long in tube – no unruly spools. Non-toxic, but beware of pieces or loose ends shorter than 1 in. They can penetrate the skin before buckling and usually break off at the surface, making removal difficult.

 

Bracing wire  Three sizes available.

·         .0012 Karma, 500 ft. on spool. Good for wing and tail bracing; stiffer than nichrome.

·         .001 shiny tungsten, 656 ft. on spool. For motorstick bracing.

·         .0003 shiny tungsten, 656 ft. on spool. Thinnest wire for wing and tail bracing.
